Shipping & Delivery Policy

Shipping & Delivery Policy

AquaCat Container Traders delivers container units and modular solutions nationwide across South Africa. Delivery is a coordinated event involving specialized vehicles and equipment—far more involved than a standard courier drop-off. Please review our shipping and delivery terms to ensure a smooth experience.

1. Delivery Timelines

  • In-Stock Containers: Delivery within 0–15 business days from cleared payment (subject to scheduling and site readiness).
  • Custom Fabrications/Conversions: Typically delivered within 4–8 weeks, depending on project complexity and materials.
  • Delays: Adverse weather (e.g., high winds, heavy rain) may cause unavoidable delays, as crane operations require safe conditions.

2. Site Preparation & Access (Customer’s Responsibility)

For successful delivery, customers must ensure:
  • Access: An 8-ton or 12-ton crane truck must have a clear, firm, and obstacle-free route to the delivery site.
  • Permits: All municipal or HOA permits/approvals are obtained prior to delivery.
  • Ground Surface: The drop-off area must be level, firm, and capable of supporting a heavy vehicle. AquaCat is not liable for vehicles getting stuck or property damage resulting from inadequate preparation.
  • Presence: An authorized person must be on-site at the time of delivery to direct placement and accept handover.

3. Delivery Fees & Redelivery

  • Fee Structure: Shipping is calculated based on distance from the nearest AquaCat depot and the crane type required for delivery.
  • Failed Delivery: If delivery cannot be completed due to site inaccessibility, lack of preparation, or customer absence, a redelivery (or waiting) fee will be charged.

4. Acceptance & Risk Transfer

  • Risk and responsibility for the container transfer to the customer upon successful offloading at the designated site.
  • Customers are strongly advised to inspect the unit immediately upon delivery and note any concerns with the delivery team.
